Proud sponsors of ‘The Spirit of Manchester’ Flower Festival at St Ann’s Church

Tosca Debt Capital is proud to sponsor ‘The Spirit of Manchester’ Flower Festival, which commemorates the one-year anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing.

The event at St Ann’s Church, in the heart of the city centre, is one of a number taking place across Manchester this week to remember the 22 people who lost their lives, and the hundreds more who were affected, in the attack on May 22nd 2017.

The exhibition is a poignant tribute, as St Ann’s Square became a shrine in the days that followed the heart-breaking event, with thousands flocking to the city to pay their respects and laying around 300,000 tributes, turning the square into a sea of flowers which became an emblem for the city’s astonishing outpouring of grief, love and solidarity.

Partner, Gary Davison, comments: “To have such a devastating attack right on our doorstep is personal to us and our thoughts continue to go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives and were caught up in the events.

“It’s superb to see the city come together in times of sadness, and over the last 12 months we’ve been moved by the strength and passion of the people of Manchester. Our entire team lives and works in the city and the surrounding areas, and it’s this commitment and support for one another that makes Manchester the fantastic place that it is.”

‘The Spirit of Manchester’ Flower Festival takes place from Monday 21st May to Wednesday 23rd May 2018, 10am – 10pm.

It also also exhibits Ghislaine Howard’s collection of 40 paintings, entitled ‘Embracing Manchester‘.

St Ann’s Church adds: “It is hoped that the various events being held in our city around the 12-month anniversary will allow us to remember all those affected and strengthen relationships and solidarity for all Mancunians, whatever their religion, their background or politics.”
