Gary Davison

TDC’s Managing Partner, Gary Davison, established TDC in 2015 after identifying a gap in the regional private investment market where the needs of SMEs were underserved. He drives TDC’s strategy and leads our growing team, by identifying new talent to bring into the business as it expands. He also leads fundraising and investor relations, and, as TDC’s Head of Investment Committee, plays an important role in deal structuring, closing and portfolio management.

A former EY Debt Advisory Partner, Gary raised TDC’s maiden Fund along with his EY colleague and fellow TDC Managing Partner, Richard Williams. Gary also oversees deployment of capital and material added-value to TDC’s growing investment portfolio, which has been proven through ongoing successful exits.

Career History

Gary’s career spans more than 20 years in the northern corporate finance market in both banking and financial advisory roles. This track record has enabled him to leverage his strong network of contacts throughout the North of England and proven deal-making experience in the regions. In addition to considerable debt advisory experience, Gary also has a career history in banking and corporate lending within a number of blue-chip financial institutions, including RBS, Lloyds and Bank of Ireland.

He is a keen golfer, football supporter, music fan and travel enthusiast.
