TDC makes responsible investment pledge

25/04/2018

Tosca Debt Capital (TDC) has strengthened its ethical practices by committing to make responsible investing one of its core values.

The business has become a Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) signatory and commits to the organisation’s six principles, which include ‘incorporating ESG (environmental, social and governance) issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes’ and ‘promoting acceptance and implementation of the principles within the investment industry’.

TDC joins more than 1,900 responsible investors operating around the globe that are voluntarily collaborating under the umbrella of the PRI, which is backed by the United Nations (UN), to achieve sustainable financial markets that contribute to all.

Richard Williams, partner at TDC, said: “As a business, we already exclude distressed, high risk areas, which helped us to attract a number of significant new institutional investors during Fund II raising. Joining the PRI further elevates our ESG practices and strengthens our commitment to supporting ambitious, appropriately governed, high-growth businesses and delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns to our investors.”
